Bernard Aubertin was born July 29, 1934 in Fontenay - aux - Roses in France . In 1957 , after meeting with Yves Klein , Aubertin began his history of monochrome painter making his first " rouge total" . With his works Aubertin offers its nihilistic vision that art does not have to be descriptive but contemplative . Through the monochrome Aubertin practice what he terms the silence of painting . In 1961 he joined the group " Zero " in Dusseldorf.
